First UK Edition (first printing), considerably more uncommon that the US equivalent. 8vo. x, 166pp. Black cloth lettered in green at the spine. A miniscule indentation to the upper edge of a dozen text leaves. A virtually fine copy in slightly toned and dust soiled non-price-clipped dust wrapper, with a tiny sliver of loss to the head of the spine panel and a second miniscule area of loss from one corner tip. A small slip tipped to the contents leaf notes "Owing to production delays this book was not published until 1949". The author's first book, seven short stories preceded by Warren's four-page introduction..
