The Log of the Bounty in two volumes. Wood engravings by Lynton Lamb. Number 105 of 300 copies. Bound in red, ivory and blue cloth in sail design. Also includes Blighs Voyage in the Resource. Number 274 of 350 copies. Wood engravings by Peter Barker-Mill. Bound in blue and ivory cloth in sail design. Volume one introduction by Owen Rutter and comments on Bligh's navigation by Rear-Admiral J. A. Edgell. Volume two introduction by Owen Rutter. Bligh's Royal Navy botanical expedition on the HMS Bounty was aborted by the infamous April 1789 mutiny, later the subject of Nordhoff and Hall's book Mutiny on the Bounty. Films based on the novel were released in 1935 and 1962. These three fine press volumes issued by Golden Cockerel Press are the first publication of Bligh's manuscript log book of his command and aftermath of the Bounty held at the British Admiralty office. The third volume is the first publication of Bligh's other log-books from his return home to England from Timor in the Dutch Indies beginning August 1789 - March 1790. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall .
