All volumes: viii, 384pp, black and white illustrated plate frontispiece (Vol. III tissue-guarded). Illustrations: Vol. I: 450+, Vol. II: 500+, Vol. III: 450+. Green cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on front boards and spines.4to. Spine covers on volumes I & II have been 'repaired' by placing adhesive tape over entire spine and onto boards; spine ends and bottom corners heavily rubbed with cloth worn away. Stains. Clear tape repairs to cracked and stretched hinges. Text blocks have dropped, volumes quite loose; volume III's gutters stretched throughout. A large and very heavy set which will require an additional charge for overseas delivery. On late 19th century London, its work and its play, its humour and its pathos, its sights and its scenes.
