The second edition, carefully revised, corrected, and enlarged. 4 vols.4 volumes 8vo (8 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches) pages 543; 476:(22,index); 488: & 453:(16 index), contemporary full tan calf, narrow gilt rules to sides. Spines gilt on raised bands with burgundy lettering pieces. gilt numbered direct. Corners rubbed, hinges cracked but holding. The attractive large bookplate of John Moore Paget on front pastedowns. Modern booplate on front free endpapers.
