Pages are clean and unmarked. 71 pages of which 66 pages contain the story, with illustrations, and the balance are advertisements for other books. An obscure self-published book, only one OCLC listing (in the UK). The book was copyrighted in the UK, the author's name on the title page is followed by his home, Hanover, New Hampshire. Austin was a professor at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, an author, and the inventor of the "ant house." Advertisments in back include Austin's "Love in a Cottage" "Cricket Family at Home" "The Antville Coal Mines" "The Ant Palace" with descriptions and prices; and then some technical books
