A highly collected and prolific children's books author in her typical style and format and will be an important and welcome addition to the canon. L. T. Meade [1844-1914] was the pseudonym of Elizabeth Thomasina Meade Smith,a prolific writer of girls' stories and not generally known,crime and sci-fi. novels too.Writing from the age of 17,in her lifetime,she produced over 300 books,being so prolific that no fewer than eleven new titles under her byline appeared in the first few years after her death.
Albert George Morrow [1863-1927.] Worked as Albert Morrow,Born in Comber, County Down,eldest brother of George Morrow.Studied art at South Kensington School of Art.On the staff of The English Illustrated Magazine from 1884.He was a contributor to Punch,to numerous boys' magazines and to children's annuals and picture books.He drew in a sketchy,linear style,and was also a watercolour painter and poster designer.Other magazines,periodicals he contributed to include The Big Budget,The Boys' Friend,Cassell's Magazine, Chums,Little Folks and Mrs Strang's Anual amongst some.
