This 5-3/4""x8"" hardback book is bound in tooled quarter leather and hard cover hardcover boards, copyright 1901 and 1901 is on the title page. Includes 'visits' to the homes of Liszt, Beethoven, Handel, Verdi, Schumann and Brahms. Very nice quality paper was used, each composer has a nice portrait at the front of his chapter with a tissue guard to protect the litho. The binding is tight and sound, the covers have some modest wear to edges and some chipping at tail of spine. Spine leather shows the most wear and there appears to be a stain on the rear cover but does not extend internally to inside covers. Pages are bright clean and crisp paxx
