1894 hardcover as pictured. Binding is firm. Gray embossed cloth boards with gold, red and brown stamping are lightly soiled and rubbed with light edge wear. Upper corners bumped. Inscribed on FFEP. Edge of text block is mottled. Text is lightly tanned but clean and unmarked. Includes a number of tipped in illustrations, one of which is coming loose. No dust jacket. This is a well made book whose style, while typical of the time, is now seen as racist. A good bad example. Your purchase helps support our small village library. s
