New York;nd [1922]: E.P. Dutton. First American Edition. Quarto. 102(1)pp., illustrated with 16 plates (8 color and 8 black & white). Annie and Ida were Australian sisters. Annie wrote children's stories while Ida illustrated them. A charming fairy story bound in a checker patterned paper covered boards backed in green cloth, paper labels to upper board and spine, some edge wear and rubbing to boards, some occasional scattered foxing, front inner hinge repaired after half-title. A very good copy of the First American edition published the same year as the first British edition. No American editions at auction and only three copies via OCLC.[Baumgarten, p. 168].
