London, U.K.: Duckworth & Co., 1905. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. Burley, R.A.. FIRST British Edition, no jacket. Tan binding with black and gilt illustration and titles. Spine title has a very tiny puncture under the word "Boy". Partly erased inscription on blank ff-end paper, plus a small ink name. A fabulous 1" bookstore label (Blackwell's, Oxford UK) on front paste-down. Top edge gilt, but dulled. Light scattered foxing - more so to pre-lims. Verso of frontispiece has erased pencil. Title is listed in Bleiler's "Checklist of Fantastic Literature", page 154, of 1948 edition. "A Crystal Age' was another fantasy title by author. Author was a naturalist and ornithologist. Born in Argentina. FIRST EDITION. Protected in a mylar slip.
