First edition, author's autograph edition, limited to 1000 copies printed on rag paper, signed by the author and publisher, 8v, etched frontispiece portrait, title vignette, 4 maps (2 folding), 72 photographic illustrations on 55 plates, 17 text vignettes, original parchment backed blue boards gilt, parchment tips, light soiling to spine, a very good copy.
