About This Item
Littell & Gay, Boston, 1870. 8 3/4" X 6 3/8" in red leather with fancy gilt decoration. This was once an uncommonly handsome volume, but time has taken its toll. Heavily rubbed and abraded along edges and spine edges. Backstrip darkened and gilding a little faded. Name and date on flyleafGOOD MINUS to GOOD condition. This is 3 months of a weekly magazine bound into one volume. It seems to have been a "cuckoo bird" kind of magazine, reprinting articles found in other periodicals: Adventures of Audubon; Obituary of Charles Dickens; Battle of Fontenaye; Danish homes / English Homes Recent solar researches; Franco-Prussian War; The Grand Lama; The United States and Cuba; AND MANY MANY OTHERS. 824pp.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket.
