Publisher's orange boards with black lettering to the front board and spine. 287 + 8 pages of adverts at the rear for "Hutchinson's Early Summer List for 1931). Boards exceptionally bright and clean. A near fine copy with some foxing and offsetting to the front free end-paper. In the VERY RARE dustwrapper priced 7/6 net to the spine as called for. The dustwrapper is complete with some darkening to the spine and a couple of short, closed tears to the top edge of the back panel. The basis for the 1933 Paramount movie "The King of the Jungle" starring Larry "Buster" Crabble as Kapa, a feral man raised by African lions.
