Book is vg but there is some tanning to the pages- well the book is almost 40 years old

An enjoyable career retrospective The word "Illustrated" is shown, and the book really delivers on that note, in fact, the images are somewhat intersperced with the text, which , of course, goes against the traditional "16 pages of great pix!" kind of thing: that is the aspect that appears to be directed at the male reader - the live and behind-the-scenes black and white shots are spectacular and capture a sensuous, emotional singer [even so in the dressing room (?) - this quality consumes any musical setting - there's a glowing animation between she and musician Andrew Gold that positively leaps out from the pages] The photography reminds the fan that Linda's strength is really in the torchy country ballad, though she can rock out on countless numbers, in fact, I really enjoyed the short take on how Chuck Berry's uptempo "Back In The USA" was selected for her "Living In The USA" album (Fans know that she appeared in the 1986 Berry documentary of his 60th Birthday celebration in St Louis, and did a rousing rendition of the rock and roll classic
So we have a pleasant narrative, with great photos, and not much of a Discography, although back in 1980, the wonderful world of alternate takes, outtakes, demos, unreleased live sessions, etc, hadn't yet fired the 'maginations of the masses
