It is published by Dale Carnegie and Associates, and given out as a prize in many of the the Dale Carnegie Courses, as was this one. It is one of the best books ever written about Lincoln which chronicles his inner life and struggles, his life of poverty, and how he went from a pauper to become the president. It also tells how he emerged from obscurity and became the Republican nominee at the 1860 Chicago convention, was a great teller of tell humorous stories, and that he was an avid reader of Shakespeare. A clean very presentable copy.

Synopsis

Dale Carnegie wrote this book in 1932, when there were still some people alive who had met Abraham Lincoln. This look at the life of the assasinated president focuses on his childhood, the disorganization behind the Union forces in the Civil War, and the small moments that defined the man behind the legend.
