About This Item
New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1932 This Is A Very Good Plus Plus Copy Of An Undated Grosset & Dunlap Cameo Classics Edition, Copyright 1932. It Is In A Clear Dust Jacket Which Is Very Good, But About One Half Inch Too Short. Not Known If This Was An Original. Both Are Housed In A Good Black Cardboard Slipcase Which Has A Navy And Cream Paste-On And Substantial Rubbing To The Corners. The Book Has No Writing Or Marks, Intact Corners And Black Upper Edge Tint. The Paper Is Cream Coloured, Which I Think Is Original As It Matches The Slipcase Paste-On. There Is Some Yellowing Going On But It Is Not Likely Very Much. There Is Some Very Slight Foxing, Especially To The Rear End Paper. Illustrated With Numerous B/W Drawings By Gilbert Whose Drawing Capability Was Clearly Considerable. Binding Is Tight, Although The Outside Edge Shows Uneven Signatures. The Book Contains The Libretti For Pinafore, Penzance And Mikado As Well As The Bab Ballads.
