Gold is worn on the 8 1/2" X 5 3/4" HC. Corners and edges of spine are rubbed and bend under. Has several stains plus a 1" paint stain at foredge back cover. Illus. of U.S. Grant has a 1" closed tear. Hinge is cracked back side with the paper torn and starting to tear at front.
