About This Item
J. A. Newsom, 1923. 1st Edition . Soft cover. Very Good. Pictorial wrappers, very good copy. First edition. Adams One-Fifty 108: "Scarce." Guns 1609: "Contains material on Oklahoma outlaws and peace officers. The author speaks of the Dalton and Doolin gangs as being in existence at the same time, but Doolin was a member of the Dalton gang until the latter was wiped out at Coffeyville. He then organized his own gang. The author does not seem to know who killed Belle Starr and says that it might have been her son. This volume apparently provided some of the source material for Sutton's Hands Up and Nix's Oklahombres." (The latter two books are also offered in this catalog.) Howes N124.
