Boston: Hilliard, Gray and Co., 1841. 1st. Hardcover. Fair/None. Two volumes, 260 and 308 pages, brown cloth binding worn, front covers detached, cloth covering on spines mostly gone. Interiors are good plus with bindings still solid. Makes a great set if rebound. Mackenzie was a officer in the US Navy and infamous for the execution of three sailors convicted of mutiny on board the USS Somers in 1842. He was also an author and historian publishing a number of books on naval war heroes. Record # 412442
