About This Item
Philadelphia: T.B. Peterson & Brothers, 1865. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Black blind-embossed cloth with gilt spine lettering. 203pp, (3pp ads). Tissue-guarded frontispiece. Good plus. Corners bumped and spine head/tail chipped, although hinges tight and internally bright and near fine. Tight and decent later printing of this 1865 cradle-to-grave biography -- basically the 1864 biography (Monaghan 366) reprinted with added material covering the assassination and "New Edition" added in gilt to spine. MONAGHAN 367 note.
