Seven illustrations in each volume all on heavier semi-gloss paper and in excellent condition. Walter Hines Page (1855-1918) American journalist and diplomat, born in Cary, North Carolina. He edited The Forum (1890-95) and the Atlantic Monthly (1896-99) and became a partner in Doubleday's in 1900. He was founder editor of World's Work (1900-13) and was American ambassador in London (1913-1918). Brown cloth boards, Walter H Page embossed to front boards. Gilt print to spine dulled. Spine and boards bright and clean. Name stamped to ffeps. Mild brown spotting to outer edges. Paper labeled slipcase.. Hard Cover. Very Good.
