New York: Frederick A. Stokes Co., 1899. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Vol. 1- 445 pages. Vol. 2- 510 pages. 7 x 10 in. Numerous illustrations in each volume , frontis illustration with tissue. Each volume in red cloth binding with gilt lettering on spine, top edge of text block gilt. Condition of each volume is VERY GOOD: Spines lightly soiled and worn, covers lightly soiled and worn, both volumes have a few spots and stains on covers. Pages clean, binding fine, edges of text block lightly yellowed. Vol. 1- shows a bit more wear than vol. 2.
