Bound in contemporary full leather (mottled, polished calf) with elegant marbling to page edges and inside covers. The spines show black and red labels, five ribs, gilt lettering and embossing. There is a gilt embossed logo ('Cambridge local examination Norwich centre') to the centre of the front faces, and a corresponding contemporary (1882) prize plate to the inside cover.
