About This Item
W. W. Norton & Co, 1988. Limited First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine in Near Fine dust jacket/Near Fine. First printing of the first edition, from the limited run of 2,000 copies made as presentation copies by the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library Association. This one is unusual in that there is no inscription or named recipient, and there is no copy number; the book is simply signed "With best wishes, George H. Nash" at the bottom of the limitation page (which is also the front free endpaper). The pages are crisp and bright, with no owners' marks; the binding is square and tight, the cloth only very lightly rubbed at the spine ends; the unclipped jacket has a little shallow wrinkling at the spine ends and at the bottom left rear corner, otherwise clean and lovely, now protected in a clear sleeve.; Signed by Author.
