Contents: Annotated Bibliography; The House of Este and the Court of Ferrara; Family Relations; The Poet and the Cardinal; The Poet and the Duke; Death and Character; The Genius of Ariosto. Heavy browning on free endpapers, very light browning and some light foxing on pastedowns, light toning in margins of pages, previous owner's name on free front endpaper, small number at top of both front endpapers, light to moderate wear at top/bottom of spine and at corners - light edge wear elsewhere, light wrinkling at top/bottom of spine, slight fading to spine colour, slight colour variation and a very small scuff on rear board, minor bump at top of rear board and on spine.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good+/No Jacket.
