Dated from the British Library. The autobiographies of German poet, playwright, historian, philosopher, and physician, Friedrich Schiller, who is considered to be Germany's most important classical playwright, and John Sterling, a Scottish author and poet. Written by Thomas Carlyle, a British essayist, historian, and philosopher. Bound in full green calf. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Minor loss to the spine label and a small crack to the front joint at the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting to the endpapers. Library bookplate and bookseller's label to the front pastedown. Very Good Indeed
