New York: Miller, Orton & Mulligan, 1856. Hardcover, in original grayish blue embossed cloth, lettered on spine in gold. 493pp. Illustrated with portrait frontispiece and 4 plates. Ex-libris from the Manchester Township Library. Their label and stamp inside front cover and plain blank pocket inside rear. Penciled presentation from former owner to library dated July 17th, 1909 on front free end-paper. No spine number or other markings. Original cloth shows shelf-wear and spine faded, though gold type still readable, but for the "F" in Frenont. Old dampstin affecting lower corner of frontis, but not title-page. With all faults, a very good, well preserved copy with clean interior, supple pages and strong hinges.. First Edition. Original Embossed Cloth. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Ex-Library.
