Paris: Marini Et Cie. Good. 1926. First Edition. Softcover. French-language title, L'identification des Avions par le Systeme F. Bianconi, has green yapp-style softwraps with gilt title and colorful mounted artwork of an airplane. The covers is heavily toned around the edges, and shows folding and chipping along. The spine is sun-faded and missing a chip at the bottom. First free end pages show discoloration and some interior pages show light rubbing. This scarce 1926 aviation book is illustrated throughout with color drawings of international airplane insignia. The title page has a mounted picture of the same picture from the cover. The Systeme F. Bianconi allowed people to classify airplanes as military, domestic or tourism-related, and to identify the country of origin by the insignia on the underside of a plane's wings. This book was published after postal delivery via airplane was well-established, but before Lindbergh's famous trans-atlantic flight (1927) which fueled a huge investment in the avaiation industry and the future of passenger service. ; Navigation Aerienne Internationale; Color Illustrations; Oblong Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 89 pp .
