Includes The Decameron by Boccaccio, The Confessions of Rousseau, The Writings of Rabellais and Persian Letters by Charles Louis Montesquieu. Illustrations reproduced from the plates engraved for the celebrated edition of 1757, and designed by Gravelot, Eisen, Boucher and others, All volumes beautifully bound in 3/4 red morocco over marbled paper covered boards with matching endpapers, raised bands, lettered and decorated in a gilt floral motif with top edges gilt, silk ribbon markers. A fine set with only slight fading or spotting to few spines. Beautiful.
