Good. - Small octavo [5-5/8 inches high by 3-1/2 inches wide], marbled boards backed with green calf & titled in gilt between gilt rules on the spine. The leather is rubbed & scuffed with the head of the spine chipped. The boards are bumped with the paper chipped & rubbed away at the corners. [iv], iv & 348 pages; and [iv] & 460 pages. The pastedowns, endpapers and preliminaries are foxed. There are several owners' ink & pencil names on the front pastedown & endpaper with some pencil notes on the rear endpaper. Several top & bottom page corners are bumped. Good.
Third edition.
"Ouvrage autorise par le Conseil Royal de l'Instruction Publique". The half-title reads: "Cours d'Histoire Racontee aux Enfants et a la Jeunesse adopte pour la methode elementaire de M. Levi". The text is in French.
