Scholarly commentary, notes, and transcription of the one extant medieval version of this manuscript of a law establishing a new class of secular officials, with comparisons to 18th century copies and a version published in 1836. The transcription is only three pages; the bulk of the book discusses its context, vocabulary, and style. Commentary, critical apparatus and most text are in English, the transcription is of course in Spanish, untranslated. Publisher's Legal Series No. 25, hardcover, as pictured; no jacket, as issued.
