First American Edition. 8vo 8" - 9" tall.; 709pp. with index, black and white photographs. Black cloth boards with gilt spine titles; gold endpapers. Inscription to versus of half-title and otherwise volume in fine condition without marks, tear or folds; binding remains tight and square. Clipped jacket has small closed tears to edges and a few tiny chips. Rupert Chawner Brooke (1887-1915) was an English poet known for his idealistic war sonnets written during the First World War.
