Self Published, 1842. Published by the author, at the Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly. Two volumes in very good condition. Illustrated with hundreds of plates, revised from the author's original paintings. Illustrations not coloured. Volume 1: 264 pages, illustrations and fold-out map. Volume 2: 266 pages, illustrations, two maps and appendices. Pages are in very good, clean condition, with foxing on the first and last few pages. Marbled edges and endpapers. Green ribbon bookmarks are intact in both volumes. Previous owner's name on page following ffep in volume 1. Half bound with red leather over marbled boards. Gilt titles and decorations on the spine, and gilt lines along the leather edges. Covers are in good condition, with some light scuff marks. Head/tail of spine and corners show light wear. A very beautiful set in very good condition. VERY GOOD. Second Edition. Hard Cover. VG. 6 x 9.
