London: Spurr & Swift, 1927. Limited edition to 1,000 copies. Hardcover. Very good condition. Finely bound 10 volume set by Birdsall of Northampton & London.
16mo, 5 1/4 x 7 3/4", approx. 200pp per volume, marbled end papers, teg. Full tan calf with gilt rules, dentelle turn-ins, spine with raised bands, gilt titling and decorations. Binder's stamp on lower edge of the front end paper. Volume I with a color frontispiece. The volumes are internally very bright and clean.
Rodent tracks on 2 volumes and bit of corner chewing. Despite this, the set looks very nice on the shelf.
