London: Grant Richards, 1899. Cloth. Good. 188 pp. [8] 12mo. Cream colored cloth over boards w/ gilt titling. Soiling to front and rear boards, spine lightly sunned. Endpapers toned with hinges cracked but holding, some small chips to ffep and rfep. Top edge gilt. Interior clean. Ghost writer William Stead claimed to serve as a transcript for the spirit of the late journalist and temperance reformer, Julia Ames, to communicate with her close friend Ellen.
