Vol. I stated second edition, "fifth thousand," 3 volumes, 8vo; original maroon decorative cloth embossed in black and lettered in gilt; all three volumes recased with new endpapers; spines darkened, some moderate shelfwear; textblocks very good and sound. Vol. I inscribed and signed by the editors, Georgina Hogarth and Mary (Mamie) Dickens, to Mary Fanny Frith. Additional gift inscription from Frith dated 1910. Originally published as a 2-volume set, vol. 3 was published two years later. See NCBEL III 826.
