UK: Macmillan, 1938. Original binding for this rare volume, edited and with an introduction by the Marchioness of Londonderry: red and black decorated boards with a black cloth spine strip and white title panel, slight wear and rubbing to corners and spine ends, the corners show small rubbed areas of paper loss to the board edges, a little marking to spine, slight rubbing and marking to title panel, boards slightly bowed, flecks of foxing and dust to edges, pages rough-cut at lower edge, some browning to endpapers and pastedowns, internally very good with the occasional trace of foxing, strain to stitching at one point, but binding is secure, name in ink to front free endpaper. Inserted is a newspaper cutting reprinting the details of the tragic death of Lord Castlereagh, Marquis of Londonderry, in 1822.. First Edition. Hardcover. Good.
