London: F.C. And J. Rivington et al, 1813. vii, [1], 113pp, [1]. Full calf, semi-raised bands, four narrow and two wide, spine divided into five unequal panels, title in gilt between panels two, three and four, the remaining with small quadrilobe in the centre, surrounded by elaborate roundel with flower heads, panelled design to covers, double fillet inner panel with fleurons to corners, with wide outer 'doorway' roll as a frame, gilt roll to inner edge, a.e.g. shell pattern marbled endpapers. Covers rubbed, with small amounts of loss to leather and gilt, small hole to head to front joint. Internally a small stain to bottom corner to the first twenty or so pages. Interleaved throughout. Presentation copy from the author to Earl Eldon, with Eldon's bookplate and name to reverse of front marbled endpaper, the author has also copied out the letter to him, from the Bishop of Norwich in justification of his opinions, on the first ten pages of the blanks which have been interleaved.
