About This Item

London : Jonathan Cape, 1946. 1st Edition 3rd Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition third printing 1946. Hardback book is tight clean and square. Boards clean, with a little sunning, and gently bumped corners. Minor bump to head and foot of spine, title gilt bold. Text block clean, with light toning to edges. The pages are crisp and unblemished, except a tear to page 321. Feels read, but still tight. Very good condition. No jacket. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A solid example of this title, personal reflections on the progress of the Second World War, and what would come after.
