About This Item
Chicago, IL The University of Chicago Press, 1944. Hardcover First Edition [1944]; Fourth Printing [1946]. Very Good in Good DJ: Book shows indications of light use: just a touch of wear to the extremities; the slightest spine lean. The pages have tanned somewhat, due to aging; a few faint flecks of foxing at the endpapers. The binding remains perfectly secure; the text is clean. Free of ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, or labels. The DJ shows fairly heavy wear; some loss to chipping and rubbing at extremities; minor soiling; price unclipped, but has been crossed out; mylar-protected. Overall, remains a clean, sturdy, presentable copy in a somewhat tatty dustwrapper. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. Royal Octavo. 127 pages + 57 plates, index, bibliography, appendices. First Edition [1944]; Fourth Printing [1946]. Hardback with DJ.
