NOT FOR SALE." on the copyright page of each volume. In all other respects such copies are identical to normal first editions, including the $6.00 price on the dust jacket flap. Such presentation copies are quite scarce. (See Langworth p.319 for further details.) Here is Volume Two only. Condition is near-fine+ in a very good correct first printing dust jacket. The binding is clean, tight, and square with bright gilt and virtually no wear. The contents are pristine - crisp and bright with no spotting and no previous ownership markings. The paper is wonderful example of the paper making trade in 1780's London. Content is scathing satire and complaints about, among other things, the loss of the colonies. A nice copy.
