This book is part biography, music/song book, and photo album that is dedicated to the famous country western singer Jimmie Rodgers. Rodgers is considered the "Father of Country Music". The Country Music Hall of Fame inducted Rodgers among the inaugural class of 1961. According to the Hall of Fame, Rodgers "brought to the emerging genre of 'hillbilly music' a distinctive, colorful personality and a rousing vocal style" that "created and defined the role of the singing star in country music". He was renown for his yodeling and his repertoire of railroad songs that he learned while working on the railroad before his music career. A clean very presentable copy.
