William Andrews & Co, 1897. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. the original burgundy boards with gold gilt are shelf rubbed and a little worn. the book has a previous owner's bookplate. there is also the signature of marius diemont, and a note in his writing that the book was bought in london in 1938. there is a pencil note in the hand of ellison kahn that the book was a gift to him from diemont. both men were renowned figures in south african legal circles. the half title page has browned. the binding is excellent..
