Synopsis
A short work for Michener, this book was written to examine how the Constitution has influenced the United States and its citizens over the years. He uses the Iran-Contra scandal and a single family as the focus from which to tell the story of everyday American citizens during the time of the Revolution, Constitution, Civil War, Women's Suffrage, and WII. This text includes a copy of the US Constitution as the final chapter.
