First edition of this work. An interesting book containing a complete record of Leeds pottery and discussions on its production of various types of ware. With emphasis on wares as forms, glazes, and moulded details, as well as line drawings of Leeds handles, spouts, knobs, and terminals. Written by Donald Towner, British collector and historian of British ceramics. Noted for his ground-breaking studies of creamware. Featuring numerous photographic plates both in colour and in black and white. Complete with unclipped dust wrapper. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear only, minor bumping to head and tail of spine . Dust wrapper unclipped and very smart with a couple of small closed tears to the wraps, minor chipping to head of spine. Discreet library shelf inscription to imprint page. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. With both colourful and black and white photographic plates and line drawings in text. Near Fine
