Following the character of Vincent Wingfield, a young man who fights for the Confederate States of America primarily with the Army of Northern Virginia, even though he is against slavery. Written by George Alfred Henty, an English novelist and war correspondent. Illustrated by Gordon Frederick Browne, an English artist and a prolific illustrator. Publisher's catalogue to the rear. In the original brown cloth binding with gilt. Externally, smart with rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. A small tear to the front endpaper. Very Good
