New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1862. First American Edition. . Hardcover. Fair. Bound in brown pebbled cloth with blindstamped rules and spine titles stamped in gilt. Lectures delivered at the Royal Institution of Great Britain, April, May and June, 1861. From the second London edition, revised. Corners bumped and worn through, spine reattached with loss at the head and heel, lettering faded. Newspaper clipping dated 1892 affixed to front pastedown. Front hinge just started. Library association stamp to title page; glue residue to rear pastedown. Decent copy for reading/reference.
