VG* Illustrations: Beautiful black & white line drawings by C.F.TUNNICLIFFE throughout.* Pages: 111 pp. text.* Description: Country sketches, superbly illustrated by Tunnicliffe. The text was written during the war, which intrudes now and then including searchlights playing on the night sky in one of the illustrations. This is a story of the restoration of a Devonshire farm to its ?natural" state and excursions into the surrounding countryside detailing the wild life to be found there. Some of the full page illustrations, The Plough, The Dragonfly and the Fox for example, are among the Tunnicliffe?s best work. Most appear to be woodcuts or possibly scratchboard or lino cuts. The delicacy of line is remarkable and very atmospheric.* A NEAR FINE copy with ONLY SLIGHT FAULTS. No dust jacket.*

Synopsis

Journey to Ixtlan is the third book by Carlos Castaneda. It was published as a work of non-fiction by Simon & Schuster in 1972. As with Castaneda's other books, the claim of non-fiction has been called into question by academics and readers. Responding to their review of Journey to Ixtlan, Joyce Carol Oates wrote a letter published in the The New York Times Book Review expressing her bewilderment at their review of what she saw as an obvious fiction.
