Complete in 3 volumes.
Printed in 1757.
FIRST EDITION / FIRST PRINTING.
This set is not illustrated.

Those mezzotints in the advertisement currently retail at $5000 each, $35000 for a complete set.
This set is not illustrated.
By Nicholas Jenty, the famous author of: An essay on the Demonstration of the Human Structure, Half as Large as Nature, in Four Tables, from the Pictures Painted after Dissections, for that Purpose. (That book is impossible to find, was a massive undertaking to produce, and the plates sell individually at $5000. The most recent auction record for a single plate is $4750 + 15% = $5462.50, they're scarce and they don't come up for auction, which increases the value of this work by association.) This Anatomico-Physiological Lectures was printed the following year, and it includes an advertisement on the rear of the title page for the prior work, referencing the four tables done in mezzotints. This work printed the following year has significance on it's own, as well as value by association with the significant mezzotints in the previous work. All works by Jenty are scarce. The print count was low and it is unlikely that these works will be available.
Provenance: This set was imported from the United Kingdom from a large bookshop that acquired the Royal college Of Surgeon's Library. This copy is not ex library.
_______
By Charles Nicholas Jenty, the famous author of: Humanae structurae demonstrationes, An Essay on the Demonstration of the Human Structure, Half as Large as Nature, in Four Tables, from the Pictures Painted after Dissections, for that Purpose (London: Printed for, and Sold by, The Author, at his House in Fetter-Lane, and all the Eminent Booksellers in Europe, 1756).With 4 tables, a work near impossible to find, where each table/plate sells at $5000 each, making that entire work worth likely in excess of $35,000 - $50,000. By around 1756 he was living in London and lecturing on anatomy, and perhaps practicing surgery from his home. ALL OF HIS PUBLICATIONS ARE EXTREMELY RARE. Anatomie de la couleur 122; Roberts & Tomlinson p. 456.
On the verso of the title page is the advertisement for his Anatomical Structures.
