About This Item
Transworld. Reprinted 1955. (10930) Paperback. 218 pages. Good with ageing to edges of textblock in a good papercover with faint reading creases to a slightly cocked spine. No markings or inscriptions. A tight sound clean copy. The author took part in the unforgettable Battle of Arnhem. Severely wounded there, he was captured by the Germans. German doctors amputated both his forearms, and he lost the sight of one eye. Since his return to civilian life, Milbourne had to fight an even tougher battle to lead a normal life.
